From inception, Driscoll Design has always
emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship. Now
that “going green” is in the forefront of people’s
consciousness, we have prepared this statement reiterating
how Driscoll Design continues to minimize its impact on the
environment.
The paper used in our greeting cards and invitations are
all Tree and Chlorine-Free. All card stock is either
100% recycled Cotton Rag or 100% recycled Post Consumer Waste
(PCW) paper. The choice to use these papers dramatically
reduces both the energy and pollution used to produce them.
Our matching envelopes use pulp from sustainable forests. The
paper is acid/lignin and elemental chlorine-free.
We work strictly with printers that use soy-based ink on
their presses. The inks are biodegradable and come
from a renewable resource (soybeans!). Also, soy-based inks
spread further thus requiring less usage and less waste.
The clear, protective card sleeves we use are made from
100% biodegradable plant material- so it’s OK to throw
away!
In the office, we reduce, recycle and reuse. From
ink cartridges to packaging materials, anything that can
be used a second time is. Our employees all live within
walking distance of work (or live at work!), keeping a few
more cars off the streets.
Going forward, we will make every effort to reduce our impact
on the environment as well as encourage the same from our
partners and suppliers.
